Paul C. Goleb, CPA
Principal
Mr. Goleb has over 40 years of real estate accounting and financial management experience including 36 years with LAAS. He has played a prominent role in designing and implementing LAAS’ audit standards, procedures and control mechanisms, and has directed many of LAAS’ major audit campaigns. Previously, he held the position of Controller for two of the largest real estate owners and managers in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and spent five years in public accounting where he was responsible for design and execution of audits for a diverse client base including commercial real estate developers and managers. With his background and knowledge base, Mr. Goleb has a thorough understanding of lease escalations and an insider’s perspective to potential landlord abuse in this area.
Mr. Goleb is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the DC Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He received a BS in Business/Accounting from Frostburg State College.
Hank Tremaine
Principal
Mr. Tremaine has over 38 years real estate consulting experience having managed a variety of value-added services for corporate clients including lease compliance audits, construction oversight, building energy/utility audits, and portfolio optimization engagements and has been directly responsible for audit recoveries and client savings in excess of $175 million. At LAAS, his responsibilities include client relationship oversight, quality assurance, audit negotiation and settlement, and advising clients on cost reduction initiatives and strategies. Previously, Mr. Tremaine was a Director in the Real Estate Consulting practice at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP where he directed and managed engagements for lease audits, portfolio optimization, property/asset management contract compliance, lease revenue and expense analyses, market rent studies, and other related services for clients.
Mr. Tremaine holds a BS degree in Architecture from M.I.T. and earned his MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a member of Corporate Real Estate Network (CoreNet Global), the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
